Cometes Jewelry Collection by Chanel

Chanel is a Parisian fashion house by the late Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel.  The house is considered as one of the most established in haute couture specializing in luxury items from haute couture to ready to wear, handbags to fine jewelry, cosmetics to perfumery among others.  Coco Chanel started in 1909 in Balsan--an apartment in Paris.  Through the years, Chanel continues to prove that elegance, sophistication and high quality goods coupled with perseverance and passion are the key ingredients to a successful fashion business.  

I checked out their website and I was amazed of their fine jewelry collections particularly the Cometes Collection.  The collection was inspired by the stars and constellations.  Here are a few of the stunning jewelries in 18k white gold with diamonds.

Bulgari B.Zero 1 earrings in 18k yellow gold

Lovely!  My heart beats fast at the mere sight of these Bulgari B.Zero 1 earrings in 18k gold with amethyst, peridot, blue topaz, citrine quartz and pave diamonds.  The Bulgari ring that I featured is not yet asking for world peace, but this one, it does.  It costs a whopping $8,500.

Lucifer Vir Honestus 'Quercus' ring

This Lucifer Vir Honestus 'Quercus' ring is definitely a statement and conversation piece.  It is made of 18k rose gold with pale green turquoise and white pave diamonds.  You can have this at Barneys for $6,400.

Jose & Maria Barrera crystal drop earrings

Simply stunning!  These Jose & Maria Barrera earrings are so perfect to wear with any evening gown or cocktail dress.  Love it?  This is made of 24k gold plated metal with clear Austrian crystal drops.  You can get these at Neiman Marcus for $275.

Crown Jewels of Britain

I am fascinated by the lives of kings and queens and other royalties and especially their crown jewels.  I wonder how each crown costs (definitely millions) and what makes up their crown.  I made a little research about the most famous royal family of all--the British Royal Family.  The crown jewels are kept and guarded by the Yeomen Warders in the Tower of London.  Each year, the crown jewels are on display for people to view.

Here is the Imperial State Crown that Queen Elizabeth wears during special occasions.  It weighs 0.91 kilograms, has over 3,000 precious stones including the 317 carat Cullinan II diamond that is set on the middle.  

 The Sovereign's Scepter that symbolizes temporal power.  It is 92.2 cm long with various precious stones including the 530 carat Cullinan I diamond at the center that is held by four gold clasps which can be removed to be worn as pendant.

 The Sovereign's Orb is made of gold and over 600 precious stones and pearls.  It weighs 1.32kg and was first used during Charles II's coronation in 1661.  It symbolizes the domination of Christianity over the world.

Here, Queen Elizabeth II wears the crown and holds the scepter and orb during her coronation on 2 June 1953.

This is the 1820 Diadem that Queen Elizabeth wears on a regular basis and the one that you can see on banknotes and stamps. It was originally made for King George IV to wear with his cap during his coronation on 1821.  It is composed of four diamond pave set on gold with four bouquets of rose, thistle and shamrock that represents United Kingdom.  There are 1,333 diamonds in all weighing 325.75 carats and 169 pearls.

Tiffany & Co. has been in the jewelry business, well, since 1837.  They are known for their simple, classic and elegant jewelries that you can pass on as heirlooms.  This Tiffany 1837 circle charm has the brand's name engraved on 18k rose gold while six diamonds are mounted on the middle.  You can use this charm on your favorite bracelet or even use it as a pendant.  This charm costs $975.

I wonder how many watches I can buy with $127,875 in my wallet?  If I happen to drop by at Blue Nile and buy this Breitling diamond pave and crystal watch in 18k rose gold, I can buy nothing else.  Yes, this watch costs that much and you cannot argue with that because of what it is made of. 

Irene Neuwirth lapis bracelet

One of my favorite colors is blue so I was instantly drawn to this lapis bracelet by Irene Neuwirth.  The seven 20mm rose cut lapis stones are mounted on 18k gold.  I like the two shades of blue going on in the bracelet.  You can have this at Barney's for $5,105.

I-HEART-THIS!  This heart-shaped diamond ring by Tiffany & Co. is currently the most expensive in this blog because of its price tag of $422,000.  This is made of 4.55 carat heart-shaped diamond and 40 carats of round brilliant cut diamonds surrounding the heart the the whole band.  I can only dream.

Bulgari B.Zero1 ring in 18k white gold

It is my dream to own a Bulgari jewelry.  I am particularly eying this B.Zero1 ring in 18k white gold with diamond.  Simply amazing!  This is available at the brand's website for $1,600.  It isn't asking for world peace, not yet.

Mod Cloth 'Gettin' Hot Rod in Here' necklace

I bet the name of this necklace is derived from Nelly's hit song 'Hot in Herre'.  I think this necklace by Mod Cloth is a cool thing to wear if you are going to party with friends and you are wearing a simple tank top, vest, slim jeans and killer heels.

New Purchase: Set of Bangles for less than $4

I bought this stack of five silvertone bracelets at the mall last Sunday.  This one is a deal because I  bought it for only 150 pesos or less than $4.  I am going to wear this tomorrow so I am a bit excited.  I am planning to wear this with trousers, my killer black pumps, printed blouse.  Do you like it?  Here are some stack of  bracelets that I have found for less than $10.  Happy shopping!

Pink... Juicy Couture 'Flights of Fancy' double heart adjustable ring

Two hearts... two hearts that beat as one, our lives has just began... I love the song Endless Love.  If ever I get married, I want it to be one of my wedding songs.  

Since I am talking about two hearts, here is Juicy Couture's 'Flights of Fancy' double heart adjustable ring that you can buy at Nordstrom.  The first heart is made of crystal and the other one is made of faux pearl.  What I like about this is that it is adjustable.  Do you notice that each time you have your period, everything  seems to swell--even your fingers?

Aww!  How cute!  This would be perfect for my niece who will celebrate her birthday on the 14th.  She'll turn ten in a few weeks and I wanted to give her something that will add to her collection of cute things.  This cupcake-oven charm by Juicy Couture is available at Revolve Clothing for $58.

These are lovely!  This is the kind of earrings that you would want to wear during special events like your anniversary, birthday or dinner date.  I can see myself wearing this with a cocktail dress, gorgeous sandals and a really cute evening bag.  These crystal dome earrings by Kate spade is available at Neiman Marcus for $125.

This stack of 5 antique gold 'Betty' ring by Amrita Singh is really a good buy for only $100 at Couture Candy.  I told you I am a deal junkie.  Wear all of the five rings or wear them individually--whichever way you want.

Ann Taylor modern glam statement necklace

Aside from the evening gowns that I am eager to see during any red carpet events, I also look at what jewelries the Hollywood stars are wearing.  In the recent Emmy's, the stars are bold to wear million dollar worth of statement necklaces.  Heidi Klum's ruby necklace was to die for!  Lea Michelle's diamond necklace is so gorgeous!  If you want to have the look without spending too much, this statement necklace by Ann Taylor is my best bet.  This necklace is only $198.  Wear this  with a shoulder baring evening gown for high impact.

This ring is really unique.  It shows how flexible and malleable gold can be.  The 18k gold was curled to make it the ring face... it actually resembles a rosette.    This ring by H. Stern can be bought at Bergdorf Goodman for $2,000.
