Ice jade and diamond sterling silver necklace

I am Asian and I believe in the balance of energies, feng shui and charms.  I do not surround the house with Chinese idols and lucky charms but I wear charmed jewelries from time to time.  My favorite piece is a jade bracelet that I had as a gift from a friend.  I don't know if it had some good effect on me but I still wear it.  In Asian culture, jade is believed to protect the body, to drive away evil spirits, to heal sickness, and to help solve problems.  If you somehow believe in the power of stones and charms, I find this jade necklace with lizard design cute.  This is available at Ice for $225.

Ben-Amun mosquito cuff

I bet you'll be seeing a lot of insects and animals in the next few days.  They are cute in jewelries.  I don't like creepy crawlers and anything that flies except for birds.  It is the rainy season here and mosquitoes are everywhere... waiting to spread malaria and dengue. That is good reason enough for me not to like them.

This is probably the first time that I like a mosquito just because of this Ben-Amun resin cuff with a mounted golden mosquito.  It looks differently unique.  I like it.  You can have this at Max & Chloe for $170.

Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry collection

I was going to originally post one ring with a ladybug by Solange Azagury-Partridge because I find it so cute but then, I saw a multitude of her designs that are quirky, fun and unique.  She is a British designer and a former creative director of the reknowned jeweler Boucheron.  She first launched her jewelry collection in 1990 wherein she caught the attention of Nicole Kidman and Victoria Beckham.  Her pieces are known for unusual but fun designs--from bugs, skulls to lips.  Here are some of her jewelries. 

This cute ring is made of 18 carat gold with red and green enamel ladybird embellishment. This sells for $2,980.

La Mer leopard layer wrap watch

I was looking for wraps and scarves but when I clicked on the link, it brought me to this La Mer leopard layer wrap watch.  Not that I am complaining--I actually like it.  Animal prints are in and I love watches.  I think this is a great alternative to chunky bracelets.  This is available at Revolve Clothing for only $96.  I say this is a great buy.

Michael Kors tortoise double wrap watch

Animal prints are making a comeback and this time they are fiercer.  If you have an animal print or two in your wardrobe, now is the right time for you to take them out of your closet.  If in case you do not have, may I suggest this Michael Kors tortoise double wrap watch that is available at the label's official website for $180.  One friendly advice, though, never ever wear too many animal prints at the same time... you don't wanna be the target of bounty hunters, do you?

Bottega Veneta gold scarabee oxidized silver bug brooch

Do you like bugs?  I don't if it is alive and crawls and will bite me.  If it is a brooch, though, I can consider.  This bug brooch from Bottega Veneta is $750 and is available at the label's official website for their Fall 2010 collection.  You can see lots and lots of bugs there.

Nicholas Varney scorpion brooch, conch brooch, cicada bracelet and crawfish bracelet

I was originally planning to post this scorpion brooch because it beats the most expensive item on this blog--Blue Nile radiant diamond ring.  This brooch costs $82,000.  It is made of 18k yellow gold that makes up the entire body, the abdomen is made of South sea baroque pearls, and the claws are made of clear cut 5.42 ct. diamonds.  But after a few seconds of browsing Marissa Collections' site, I saw this cicada bracelet from the same designer:

This bracelet costs $88,000.  Each overlapping cicadas are made of 18k yellow gold, the wings and thorax are lined with 4.15 ct. diamonds, and cabochon emeralds of 4.2 ct. are set to make it the eyes.  I thought, my entry would end on this bracelet but then I found this brooch from the same designer:

  

This brooch is made of 18k white gold that is shaped to resemble a Queen Conch, the South sea pearl is mounted on the middle and is surrounded by clear-cut diamonds and moonstone cabochons.  This brooch costs $97,210.  I thought I could finally click 'Publish Post' but then I saw this crawfish bracelet, you bet, from the same designer:

Before I proceeded with writing about this bracelet, I browsed again the website to see if there is any more that could beat the price of this.  I found none.  So, this confirms that this crawfish bracelet by Nicholas Varney is the most expensive jewelry in this blog.  Let me proceed with the specs.

This bracelet is made of 18k yellow gold with orange-red spinels and circular cut diamonds that you can only see if you will stretch the bracelet.  Brilliant design, isn't it?  I am not surprised that this thing costs $166,000 because of the workmanship and the number of sparklers added to it.

Bottega Veneta buckle bracelet with diamonds

Although this buckle bracelet with pave diamonds costs $55,000 at Bottega Veneta, it did not beat the most expensive item on this blog--the Blue Nile radiant diamond ring.  I must say that Bottega Veneta's inspiration in making jewelries is leather goods, anyway, they are well-known for making fine leather items.  This buckle bracelet is also available in gold for a 'cheaper' price of $30,500 sans the diamonds.

Macy's Hershey's Kisses necklace

Do you love chocolates?  Do you also love Hershey's Kisses?  If you answer yes to any of the questions, this necklace from Macy's is for you.  The Kisses shaped pendant is covered with round cut 1/4 carat diamonds set on 14k white gold.  The chain is about 16 inches long  with additional 2 inches extender so it fits perfectly to just about any neck size.  This sells for $700 and you can buy this by clicking on this link.

This is so cute and unique and although this ring costs $6,100 or around world peace in my personal exchange rate, I love it!  This ring is available at Bottega Veneta's official website.  A warning before you click on the link, there's a possibility of you finding the 'Pagoda' earrings that costs around buying the entire universe in my rate.

Damiani 'Damianissima' white and rose gold diamond ring

I am not a fan of rose gold but seeing this ring by Damiani made me think otherwise.  Maybe because I liked the design and it can be worn by either sex.  This design is also available in pure white gold and you can get them at Nordstrom for $2,980.

I had a dream last night about jewelries particularly gold hoop earrings similar to this Cheryl Lynn diamond hoop earrings.   All I could remember about my dream is I was looking at them and I felt a sense of happiness touching them.  I researched for possible interpretation of my dream and Dream Moods Dictionary says it signifies a status and my own sense of self worth and personal value.  It highlights the spiritual and psychological riches and symbolizes aspects of a  waking relationship.  Dreaming about gold means love, longevity and domestic bliss.  Diamonds mean the wholeness of my self and finding clarity in the matters that have been clouding me.
