Kate's Wedding Jewels

The Cartier halo tiara was made in 1936. It was purchased by the Duke of York (King George VI) for Queen Elizabeth's mother--Elizabeth. When Queen Elizabeth II turned 18, she received the tiara as a gift.

Queen Elizabeth II was so gracious to lent Kate (now Duchess of Cambridge) the Cartier tiara during her wedding to Prince William. There are no reports yet if the tiara will be Kate's for good. Her earrings are custom made to match the tiara by Robinson Pelham as a gift from her parents.
