I've found this Christophe Poly aqua necklace set and it reminded me of the harvest season. The jewelry design is not the typical one you see in designs, probably because the designer was inspired by modern architecture. The necklace is made of various colors of cat's eye stones mounted on brushed aluminum and brass. The necklace closes via magnetic clasps while the hook earrings are made of nickel-free surgical steel.

Colorful Earrings to brighten up your day

My jaw literally dropped at the sight of these gorgeous earrings. I know that most of us could not afford to buy these but hey, there is nothing wrong at dreaming that one day one of these will be ours.

My favorite is the Arunashi fire opal earrings with diamonds and tsavorites worth $25,800.

One of the most awaited red carpet events is Cannes Film Festival. It is summer in other parts of the world. It is officially over on my side. But, despite the summer being officially over in mine, it is still scorching hot. I guess the weather bureau should start considering changing the months of the season.

Anyway, I still find it appropriate to wear summer brights during rainy season. I want to wear this Oscar de la Renta earrings the whole day just to perk up my mood. I remember what my mom always tells us... never leave the house without earrings. Forgo the necklace but never ever forget to wear earrings because it will frame the face. Of course, the happier the earrings look, the better.

Really, is this too much to ask for? Perhaps not for the ultra rich. 

This Tiffany & Co. earrings is made of 16 pear shaped diamonds with a total carat weight of 16.34 and 18 round cut diamonds of 1.40 carats mounted on white gold. Having mentioned those numbers, you can assume that this costs six digits or $300,000 to be exact.

Although I had a 'me' time today, there's still something in me that is unhappy. It makes me want to sing this:

Elizabeth Taylor Jewelry Auction Pieces

La Peregrina pearl necklace was sold for $11.8 million. The pearl was discovered in the Gulf of Panama in 1500s. Originally from the crown jewels of Spain, it was bought by Richard Burton (Elizabeth's then husband) in 1969 for $37,000 in an auction. She later commissioned Cartier to design the necklace to which the pearl was mounted.

Reine Marguerite necklace and earrings set by Van Cleef & Arpels was sold for $746,500.  It is made of diamonds of various colors and chrysoprase. Elizabeth wore them during the 1993 Academy Awards where she received a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

The Krupp diamond ring was sold for $8.8 million.  The 33.19 carat diamond from Richard Burton was Elizabeth's favorite.

The Burton wedding bands with an estimated value of $6,000 to $8,000 was from Richard Burton. He gave these to Elizabeth in 1964 for their wedding in Montreal and in 1975 for their wedding ceremony in Botswana.

The Mike Todd tiara that sold for $4.2 million was from Elizabeth's  third husband, Mike Todd. She wore it  to the 1957 Oscars.
